HPM promotes Annegret Kirchner to board

HIH Property Management (HPM) has promoted Annegret Kirchner to its board of management as managing director, responsible for leading the technical property management division.

Effective 1 October, Kirchner will head up the company alongside managing director Thomas Junkersfeld, who has held the position for 12 years.

Kirchner, who has been with the group since 2008, moves from her role as team leader asset management at HIH Real Estate.

Junkersfeld said: “With the appointment of Annegret Kirchner we have gained an experienced colleague from within the HIH Group to join me in taking the helm of operative management of HPM. Her background as an engineer makes her the perfect addition to our board of management.”

Kirchner commented: “As the number of clients and properties under management continues to increase, so do the demands on HPM. We need to ensure compliance with a growing number of technical, legal and regulatory standards.”

She added: “My new role on HPM's board of management will enable us to continue to drive HPM's growth, while also maintaining the high quality standards for which we are rightly known. We will be paying particular attention to the continuous optimisation of our processes.”

HPM has a portfolio of 360 properties across Germany, with a market value of €7 billion.
