Gijs Molenaar named head of asset management for Henderson Park

Henderson Park has appointed Gijs Molenaar as head of asset management to oversee the company’s investments.

He will be responsible for advising deal teams and working closely with local operating partners to create value for clients.

Molenaar has 17 years of experience in real estate asset management in Europe and joins after spending three years as senior vice president at Cerberus Capital.

Prior to this, he spent two years as director of asset management at Hammerson and was previously development director at Redevco.

He will report to Nick Weber, who founded Henderson Park in September 2016.

Henderson Park acquired Le Méridien Étoile, the largest hotel in Paris, and a 172 unit private rented sector portfolio in London, having raised $500 million from three cornerstone investors.

Weber said: “Having already made two significant acquisitions and with a strong pipeline of further investment opportunities, we have appointed Molenaar to focus specifically on the business plan implementation of our key assets.”

He added: “Having interviewed a number of applicants Molenaar was the stand out candidate both in terms of his long track record and highly relevant experience, as well as his fit with the team and our goals.”
